Astral Plane
Overview
Game created for GMTK Game Jam in 48h!
Astral Plane is a puzzle game about space, time and visual connections.
Everything in the game (apart from the game engine, bug fixes and fonts for generic and the 'Congratulations!' text) was created during the 48h period. Sounds and music by Dictate (his first game audio work!), art and code by me (Matt Iwicki).
If you can't complete a level it's possible to skip it - click the questionmark below the time bar to open the hint window and then choose 'skip lvl'.
Make sure to say hi in the comments!
Also let me know on twitter if you stream/record our game, I'd love to see you play!
How to play (spoilers! only read if you realy have no clue)
No but really, the only thing you need to know is in the game under the question mark button (lower left of the time bar, yes I really want you to figure it out for yourself).
Okay, so to finish a level you need to complete all of the objectives (the smaller windows on the sides of the main window). How do you complete an objective? It's simple - you only need to recreate the nodes configuretion in the window you want to complete. The node with a little ♦ symbol is key here - this one needs to be in the same place in both the objective window and the main window.
There is also the time bar - as you play forward and backword (play forward/backward and pause buttons on the bottom) you will notice that the obstacles in the main window change - almost all objectives require you to manipulate time in some way.

Congratulations on top 100! You all did great :)
Very cool concept!
FYI - the game does not launch in the itch.io app browser. Says "invaldi function" when trying to load in.
thanks for letting me know!
Very nice game concept, I found it quite confusing at first but once I got the hang of it the game was very cool!
The introduction to the new mechanics like the dead ball was very cool, was not expecting that at all! It really makes you think about your actions before doing them!
Overall I didn't find any meaningful bugs and the concept was executed well, I love this game.
very nice concept and music!!
